Quinton Dunbar Active For Seahawks’ Week 5 Game vs. Vikings

The Seahawks are still without safety Jamal Adams, who was ruled out earlier in the week, but they are getting reinforcements in their secondary for Sunday night’s game against the Minnesota Vikings with cornerback Quinton Dunbar returning from a two-game absence.

Dunbar, an offseason trade acquisition, has missed the past two games with a sore knee, and was listed as questionable on Friday’s injury report.

Seahawks coach Pete Carroll did note on Friday that Dunbar, “did really well, particularly (Thursday) in a full-go practice,” so him being available doesn’t come as a surprise.

The Seahawks will be without four players who were listed as questionable, however, including starting left guard Mike Iupati, who as of Friday appeared to have a good shot at playing in this game. The Seahawks could start Jordan Simmons there–he is listed as the backup behind Iupati on the depth chart–or Jamarco Jones, who has taken over that spot for the occasional series to spell Iupati at times this season. Also inactive after being listed as questionable are linebacker Jordyn Brooks, safety Lano Hill and running back Carlos Hyde.

Active again this week is safety Damarious Randall, who for the second straight week was elevated from the practice squad a day before the game. He’ll provide depth behind Quandre Diggs and Ryan Neal, who will fill in for an injured Jamal Adams for the second game in a row. Also active is defensive end Joathan Bullard, who was signed off of Arizona’s practice squad earlier in the week.

Here are the inactives for both teams:

S Jamal Adams
RB Carlos Hyde
S Lano Hill
LB Jordyn Brooks
G/C Kyle Fuller
G Mike Iupati

WR K.J. Osborn
CB Holton Hill
CB Kris Boyd
DT Hercules Mata’afa
T Olisaemeka Udoh
