New Hampshire Gov. Chris Sununu is set to give a coronavirus briefing on Thursday.
He’s scheduled to speak at 3 p.m.; the briefing will be livestreamed atop this story.
As of Wednesday, the state reported 8,800 total coronavirus infections, 507 of which were active, and 448 deaths.
The news conference comes with a COVID-19 outbreak in Merrimack resulting in six students testing positive and more than 150 in quarantine.
This week, the state opened applications for New Hampshire theaters, concert halls and other live performance venues to apply for as much as $1.5 million each from the state’s federal virus relief aid.
And unrelated to the pandemic, on Wednesday, Sununu issued an executive order that will overhaul its police training standards, require state troopers to wear body cameras and establish a public integrity unit within the Department of Justice
